Franchise FAQs
Here are some frequently asked questions from potential franchisees. You may have other questions as we move through our process, including information required by the Federal Trade Commission and applicable state laws. Feel free to contact us at (770) 514-7783.
How do I get started?
The first step is to return the Franchise Application. This does not obligate you to Stevi B’s in any way. The form is simply used to determine mutual compatibility. Upon receipt and review, we will contact you and arrange a personal meeting. If we both agree to proceed, we will give you our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) for review. This document contains all the information required by the Federal Trade Commission and/or the particular state in which your Stevi B’s restaurant will be located. A copy of our opportunity is contained in this document. The FDD will enable you to diligently investigate our franchise operation.
What types of opportunities are available?
Individual and multi-unit franchise opportunities are available. A multi-unit franchisee must sign a Development Agreement for at least five locations.
What would my initial franchise cost?
The fee for your first franchise is $28,500. If you sign a Development Agreement, the franchise fee for every location after the first is $23,500 and 50% payment of each location outlined in the Development Agreement is due at the time of signing. The remainder 50% is due as each subsequent Franchise Agreement is signed.
How much does it cost to build a Stevi B’s Pizza Buffet?
The total all in investment to build a Stevi B’s restaurant ranges from $434,000 to $758,000. This range includes the total investment including all associated fees, equipment, leasehold improvements, games, signage, opening inventory and your grand opening fee.
What is the term of my franchise agreement?
A 20-year franchise agreement is awarded to qualified franchisees. We are prepared to commit to a long-term relationship with you.
Is there a continuing fee?
Yes, the continuing royalty fee is 5% of weekly gross receipts, excluding sales tax.
Is there an advertising fee?
You are required to spend up to 4.5% of net sales in advertising for your store. Currently, 1.5% of net sales is paid weekly to Stevi B’s for national advertising that will allow Stevi B’s to compete with other national brand systems and continue to build the Stevi B’s brand . The remaining 3% is to be used by the individual franchisee for local marketing and advertising. Stevi B’s encourages franchisees to work together in local advertising cooperatives. These cooperatives collectively seek to achieve a consensus to determine the appropriate use of these funds. Stevi B’s retains the exclusive decision making power over the use of these funds, but the applications of them will always be for advertising and marketing purposes.
Does Stevi B’s offer financing?
Stevi B’s will recommend SBA and lending programs, as well as leasing options with third-party sources to qualified franchisees. However, we do not offer direct financing. Qualified prospective franchisees, as Stevi B’s franchisees, may be able to obtain a loan from a third-party institution. The loan amount may vary in respect to the applicant's credit history, the liquid assets value of the applicant, as well as the cash amount used by the qualified prospective franchisee as its direct contribution to the total investment in the franchise. Ideally, candidates seeking a loan should have at least $200,000 cash or cash equivalent in order to qualify. Equipment leasing is an alternative to reduce the total funds needed, but may be more costly than the loan.
Will I receive assistance in finding a suitable location for my Stevi B’s restaurant?
Yes. While it is each franchisee's contractual responsibility to find a suitable location, Stevi B’s representatives will assist you in this process. We have a recommended network of brokers that specialize in Stevi B’s site selection and lease negotiation that we will put you in contact with should you chose to use them. We will collectively review all available options and approve a location that is mutually agreed upon and meets our criteria.
Who signs the lease?
Each franchisee will execute the lease for their store. Stevi B’s will provide a rider to be attached to the lease.
How long does it take to open a Stevi B’s restaurant?
We hesitate to give a specific time due to the number of variables that exist. Usually a restaurant opening may be completed within 120 days or more from the time a site is leased.
Do I receive training by Stevi B’s?
Yes, our current training program consists of hands-on experience in operating a Stevi B’s restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia. This covers all facets of operating the Stevi B’s business. A Stevi B’s representative will then assist you at the opening of your first restaurant.
Can I sell my franchise?
Yes. As in any other business, your business can be sold. Stevi B’s must approve the buyer and there will be a transfer fee to cover the legal and training costs.
How much income can I generate from a Stevi B’s franchise?
In 1979, the Federal Trade Commission Rule on Franchise and Business Opportunity Ventures was passed. These laws and certain state laws were enacted to protect prospective franchisees by requiring the delivery of certain mandated information to adequately inform franchisees of relevant facts prior to the franchise sale. Stevi B’s is prohibited from disclosing earning claims of any nature, except as may be provided by the FDD.
Is Stevi B’s equipped for the future?
Stevi B’s is continuously working to improve your business and our business in order to adapt to an ever changing world and fast-casual segment. We seek to take advantage of new technology, refine existing systems, and react to new market opportunities as they arise. Stevi B’s is an organization with dedicated professionals seeking to make your business a success.
